This is a small, fan-made entertainment site. There is no advertising and no tracking, and your conversations are not stored on the server — only a running count of how many questions have been asked. They are, however, sent to third parties in order to produce a reply — which is the part worth reading.

What stays in your browser

Your conversation is kept in your own browser's local storage so that refreshing the page does not wipe it. It is sent back with each message so the character has some memory of what is being discussed. It is never written to a database here, and nothing on this server keeps a record of what anybody said. “Start again” clears it, as does clearing site data in your browser.

Reading the page needs no account and sets no cookie that identifies you. Your conversation and your music setting are stored by your browser, for your browser.

If you sign in

After a number of turns he asks who he is talking to, and the only way to say so is Sign in with Google. There is no password here: this site never sees one, never stores one, and could not leak one.

What is kept when you sign in is deliberately less than what Google sends: an opaque account identifier and your display name, with the date. Your email address is used once to confirm Google verified it and is then discarded — nothing here needs to contact you, and an address kept without a use is only a liability. A signed cookie then remembers you so you are not asked again. You can change the name he calls you, or sign out, from the menu in the top corner.

Alongside that, an account carries three numbers and an invite code: how many questions you have asked while signed in, how many people have joined through your invite link, and the date you joined. They are what the allowance is counted from. No question or answer is stored against your account — the numbers say how many, never what.

Why it is there at all: it keeps automated traffic from running up the bill behind this page, and it means the people who get that far are people. Signing in is only ever needed to keep talking — every page here is readable without it.

If you invite somebody

Signing in comes with a set number of questions, and inviting somebody who signs in too adds more. Your invite link contains a short code that identifies your account and nothing else — it carries no name, no email and nothing about you, and it is safe to post anywhere.

When somebody signs in through your link, your count goes up by one. You are not told who they are, and they are not told who invited them; the two accounts are never shown to each other. What is recorded on their side is the code they arrived on, so that the same person cannot be counted twice.

The only thing counted

Two running totals are kept on the server: how many questions have been asked in all, and how many replies he has finished. They are shown on the Stats page.

They are counts and nothing more. No question or answer is stored — not its text, not its length, not who asked it, not when. Nothing ties a number to a person or a conversation, and the totals cannot be taken apart into either.

What is sent elsewhere, and to whom

To produce a reply, the text of your conversation leaves this site. Each of these is an independent company with its own privacy policy, and their handling of that data is governed by their terms rather than by this page.

• Anthropic (Claude models) — writes the character's replies. Your messages and the recent conversation are sent with each turn. Claude models are also used to translate lines that were not in English.
• Google (Gemini models) — used to produce artwork for this site. Gemini may also be used for parts of the experience from time to time.
• ElevenLabs — a third-party voice model that turns the character's written replies into speech. The text he speaks is sent there.
• Your browser's speech recognition — in voice mode, speech is transcribed by your browser's own service. In Chrome this means the audio is processed by Google. This site never receives or stores your raw audio; it receives only the text your browser produces.
• YouTube — the background music is a YouTube embed, loaded in privacy-enhanced mode.

Everything typed or spoken here should be treated as leaving your device. Please do not enter anything sensitive — personal details, anything about your health or finances, or anything you would not want handled by a third party.

The microphone

The microphone is used only while voice mode is open, and only after your browser asks your permission. Closing voice mode releases it. Audio is used to produce a transcript and to notice when you begin speaking so the character can be interrupted; it is not recorded, uploaded to this site, or kept.
